Part Time Moving Help information

Can you hire movers for a few hours?

Part Time Moving Help jobs typically involve hiring movers for short-term tasks, often lasting a few hours. Many moving companies or helpers offer flexible, hourly services to assist with loading, unloading, or packing during a move. Availability and minimum time requirements vary by provider, so it's important to confirm specific scheduling options when booking.

Part Time Moving Help and Part Time Furniture Mover roles both involve assisting with moving tasks without requiring formal certifications. Moving Help typically covers a broader range of moving assistance, while Furniture Mover focuses specifically on handling furniture. Both roles are common in moving companies and involve physical labor in similar environments. The main difference lies in the scope of work, with Moving Help being more general and Furniture Mover more specialized.

What jobs pay 700 a day?

Part Time Moving Help jobs typically do not pay $700 a day, as they are usually hourly or per move-based payments. High-paying jobs that can reach $700 daily often include specialized roles such as freelance consulting, skilled trades, or certain construction and delivery positions, which may require specific skills or certifications. Earnings depend on experience, location, and workload, with some full-time or highly skilled part-time roles reaching that level.

How to become a moving helper?

To become a moving helper, you typically need physical strength, good communication skills, and the ability to lift heavy objects safely. Experience with moving equipment or tools can be helpful, and some employers may require a background check or a valid driver's license. Training is often provided on the job, and flexible scheduling is common in this role.

How much does moving Helper typically cost?

The cost of a part-time moving helper generally ranges from $15 to $25 per hour, depending on location, experience, and the complexity of the move. Helpers may charge additional fees for packing, heavy lifting, or special equipment, and rates can vary based on the moving company's policies and the job's specific requirements.

Our rapidly growing conventional housing portfolio reflects our ambitious, forward-thinking approach to real estate management. Headquartered in Provo, Utah, we combine industry-leading systems with a high-energy culture to deliver exceptional property performance and resident experiences.

CLASSIFICATION: Part-time, Temporary

COMPENSATION: $14 Per hour

POSITION SUMMARY: Redstone Residential is hiring reliable, hardworking Seasonal Turn Technicians to help prepare vacant units for Fall move-ins. This temporary role focuses on cleaning and light unit-prep work, including upholstery cleaning, detail cleaning, and other turn-related tasks needed to get apartments resident-ready. The position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team during a fast-paced turn season.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean vacant units thoroughly, including floors, bathrooms, kitchens, appliances, fixtures, windows, and common surfaces
  • Perform upholstery and furniture cleaning in furnished units
  • Assist with light unit-prep tasks such as trash removal, dusting, wiping baseboards, and spot touch-ups
  • Conduct cleaning checks and re-clean any areas that do not meet move-in standards
  • Support the maintenance and turn team with basic unit turnover tasks as assigned
  • Assist with groundskeeping or general property upkeep as needed
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors and teammates to keep turn timelines on track
  • Maintain a positive, professional attitude around residents, staff, and vendors

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in cleaning, housekeeping, turn work, groundskeeping, or maintenance is preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Able to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, and standing for extended periods
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license required for roles that involve driving
  • Willingness to follow company policies and safety guidelines
  • Available to work flexible hours during the Spring turn season (Jun-August)
