Job description

TruePoint Communications is seeking a lead graphic designer who brings strong creative judgment, sharp design execution, and a clear understanding of how visual storytelling supports business goals. This role requires a balanced thinker who can concept strategically, execute with precision, and deliver high-quality creative work that strengthens brands and supports client objectives.

The lead graphic designer will guide creative work through completion across social media, email marketing, events, websites, collateral, presentations, and other client projects. This person must be able to communicate ideas clearly, present creative rationale with confidence, and collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.

The ideal candidate has a strong visual point of view, refined design sensibility, and the ability to solve both business and creative challenges. They are comfortable moving between concept development and hands-on execution, applying current design trends thoughtfully while also using proven creative approaches when they best serve the work.

Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 remote)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead creative concept development and design solutions in both print and digital marketing deliverables, managing the work product from ideation to completion.
  • Transition from conceptual ideation to deliverable production, ensuring brand continuity and error-free designs
  • Provide ideas and input to campaign work that aligns with an overall strategy
  • Research brands, marketing strategies, and messaging to identify insights to drive award-winning creative
  • Take big ideas and bring them to life while engaging the strategy and creativity needed
  • Use knowledge from research and client requirements to develop and follow creative briefs and project scoping; understanding the nuances of timelines, budgeting requirements, and third-party resources to fulfill execution
  • Work from a variety of brand guidelines to implement creative work; ability to create brand voice, style, tone, and look/feel to create a new brand as needed for clients
  • Present design concepts, work with clients and discuss pros/cons of work and iterate the best solutions; comfortable leading meetings and delivering best-in-class presentations
  • Maintain the highest level of design and brand consistency and compliance throughout all projects
  • Use established project management systems to enhance collaboration, manage assets, and maintain the visibility of project workflows
  • Manage a team and delegate work according to their role function and expertise
  • Ability to communicate cross-functionally, managing seamlessly up, down, and across for agency and client success

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years of design experience demonstrating smart, brand-building designs and executions at a digital/marketing/PT agency or design firm. A BFA, or BA degree in Design, Visual Communications, or similar, is preferred.
  • Proven experience managing simultaneous projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills, including exacting attention to detail and follow-through
  • Strong portfolio of completed design projects that delivered results for the client and accurately reflected a high level of client satisfaction
  • Must have outstanding interpersonal skills, high EQ, and ability to build relationships and trust
  • Expert-level experience with Adobe applications as well as Canva and high proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams
  • Must have excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Having video editing skills with an emphasis on storyboarding and concepting motion graphics would be a significant plus
  • Ability to analyze and reinterpret complex and abstract information into a clear communication design
  • Be a proactive problem solver, communicate clearly, and have an enviable self-starting work ethic
