Job description

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support daily operations with integrity, teamwork, and reliability while bringing an agile, innovative approach to every interaction.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, entrances, exits, stockroom corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter.
  • Monitor for unauthorized activity, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations, and help to deter theft, trespassing, and other unwanted activity through visible presence and timely reporting.
  • Support closing and opening routines, access control practices, and customer assistance needs while communicating with store leadership and/or first responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
