Work Environment

As a Mental Health Counselor at Bright Wellness Psychological Center, you will work from the comfort of your own home. This remote position is designed to streamline your practice and enhance your counseling capabilities. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual counseling sessions through secure video chat, focusing on improving clientsโ€™ mental health and emotional well-being.
  • Encourage open dialogue by guiding clients in discussing their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, fostering self-reflection and personal growth.
  • Act as an advocate for clients, helping them define personal and treatment goals and providing ongoing support to achieve these objectives.
  • Evaluate clientsโ€™ mental health conditions, develop personalized treatment plans, and employ evidence-based methodologies to guide therapeutic practices.
  • Coordinate with our administrative team to ensure seamless operations, enabling you to devote your energy to client care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a carefully screened client base of stable adults exhibiting low acuity. We ensure that all clients are pre-qualified, so you can provide effective treatment with a focus on managing mild to moderate challenges. We also tailor client assignments based on your expertise and preferences, enhancing the therapeutic relationship and promoting positive outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology is required.
  • Must hold a valid and unrestricted license to practice independently in the state of California, including LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW designations.
  • No provisional or limited licenses and no history of disciplinary actions.
  • A strong ability to understand and empathize with clients, fostering a safe and supportive environment.
  • Proficiency in using technology and virtual tools to facilitate counseling sessions.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in telehealth or remote counseling methodologies is an advantage but not essential.
  • A background in working with diverse populations and issues pertaining to mental health will be beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits

The part-time role offers a competitive salary range of USD 50,000 to 70,000 annually, commensurate with the number of hours worked. Additionally, counselors are provided with a monthly healthcare stipend if working full-time, and you will receive weekly direct deposits for your services.
