Job description

We’re hiring a detail-oriented Part-Time Medical Biller (Medicaid) to join our growing team at Cooperative Home Care.

We are currently hiring a Part-Time Medical Biller (Medicaid) for $20–$22 per hour.

This position will begin with in-person training, and after successfully completing training and demonstrating the ability to work independently, there may be an opportunity to work remotely. Some local travel may be required during the initial training period.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of medical billing, insurance claims, payment posting, EOBs, denials, and payer requirements preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and ensure information is accurate and complete
  • Ability to work independently while also being part of a team
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and company information
  • Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Prepare and submit healthcare claims accurately and on time
  • Process Medicaid billing and meet payer requirements
  • Review claims and follow up on denied or unpaid claims
  • Post payments and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Respond to billing questions from patients and insurance companies
  • Maintain accurate billing records and documentation
  • Assist with reports, data entry, and account reconciliation
  • Identify billing errors and provide administrative support as needed
