PART TIME MEDICAL ASSISTANTMedical Assistants (MA) will partner with the providers of Chicago ENT to ensure prompt, accurate, and compassionate patient care. Chicago ENT is seeking experienced MA candidates interested in growing their skills in this unique and comprehensive ENT care setting. This role will report to the MA Lead and be required to travel to other clinics. This is a part-time role with a schedule of Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and some Thursdays as needed. Occasional travel to Skokie, Lakeview, Halsted, and Peterson practices is required.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting.The Medical Assistant assumes responsibility for maintaining patient flow, the upkeep of exam and treatment rooms, and performing basic skills such as vital signs and point of care testing.The Medical Assistant will administer intramuscular injections, immunizations, and over-the-counter medications under the direction of a Physician.The Medical Assistant will be cross trained over time in all specialties and ancillary services including ENT, Sleep, Allergy, Cosmetic, CT, and Triage.The Medical Assistant must be available to work scheduled hours travel between all office locations where their assigned provider hosts clinic.The MA Lead will assign a weekly schedule not to exceed 25 hoursThe schedule may be between the hours of 7AM to 7PMThe schedule may be 5 days including Monday to FridayThe Medical Assistant must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up-to 30 pounds.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh School diploma or GED equivalentCurrent CPR Certification requiredGraduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferredMinimum of two years clinical experience preferredPrevious surgical experience preferredAbility to work in a high stress, fast paced environmentSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYThis position has no supervisory responsibility.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSPreferred: Current Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT WAGE$18-22.00 + Travel ReimbursementENT is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
