Job Description
The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is seeking a part-time Medical Scribe to support physicians and accurately document patient encounters.
• Specialize in charting physician-patient encounters in detail, with a specific knowledge and use of medical terminology
• Obtain accurate and detailed patient history
• Navigate Citrix Receiver and utilize PowerChart to communicate with patients and staff
• Utilize PowerChart for ordering proposals for ancillary testing and fulfilling prescription refill requests for patients
• Be compliant with infection control, basic sanitation/sterile protocol, and HIPAA
Shift
Thursday afternoons and Friday availability 8:30 am - 2pm.
Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge or abilities can be acquired is necessary.
Six (6) months experience as a Medical Scribe or 6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $15.00 - $21.18 hourly
Grade: PAT - 004
