Job description

We are seeking an experienced detail-oriented Part Time Medical Biller to assist with the revenue cycle operations of a busy medical practice.

Responsibilities:

Post and review patient and insurance charges accurately and timely.

Preferred experience with Allscripts/Veradigm EMR and PM, Payerpath, Pay My Doctor, Phreesia

Work Accounts Receivable to identify and resolve outstanding balances.

Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and unpaid claims.

Work with the Maryland Insurance Commissioner for difficult claims.

Correct billing errors and resubmit claims when appropriate.

Review aging reports and prioritize accounts based on age and claim amount.

Contact patients and insurance companies regarding claim issues and patient balances.


Qualifications:

Preferred CPC Certified

Minimum 2 years previous experience as medical biller in an outpatient medical practice.

Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, PPO, Commercial insurances.

Good Communication and problem- solving skills

MWF 7am-4pm Part Time


Salary will depends on experience and knowledge of Allscripts PM and EMR revenue cycle
