Job description

Part-Time Math Tutor Wanted
We are currently seeking mathematics tutors for GradePower Learning - Austin South. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys explaining the ins and outs of mathematics through Algebra 2, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.
Tutors at GradePower Learning do not have to prepare lesson plans before class, as all lessons are pre-planned by the directors. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary methods.
Position Requirements:
Available hours: Monday-Thursday from 3:30pm-7:00pm and Saturday 9:00am-12:30pm. You may select your hours. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must.
This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location; this is not an online position.
We encourage you to apply if you meet the majority of the following criteria:
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Teaching certification is an asset

Experience:
  • Experience working with a variety of ages
  • Comfort with math through Algebra II
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

Responsibilities:
You will work directly with students and have the following responsibilities:
  • Teaching up to 3 students at a time with individualized learning plans
  • Following the GradePower Learning methodology and philosophy
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
