Job description
GEHMS is seeking a part time tutor to improve student achievement by assisting classroom teachers, intervention coordinator and instructional coaches in the planning and implementation of individual and small group instruction in literacy and/or mathematics. This is a grant funded position, effective for the 2025-2026 school year.
Essential Functions
- Assist and guides students to reinforce academic skills.
- Use appropriate materials to support teaching, including technology.
- Work collaboratively with our MTSS/intervention team and Instructional Coach
- Provide an effective learning environment for every student through well prepared lessons, relevant assignments, clear records of student progress, and support of academic achievement.
- Monitor and assess student performance and progress through lessons, assignments, and appropriate screening and assessment tools.
- Maintain accurate and complete student records and achievement progress.
Additional Duties
- Duties may include but are not limited to coverage of essential operational functions such as arrival, dismissal, lunch coverage and substituting as needed.
This is a grant funded position under Title I for the 2026-27 school year.
