Description
We are seeking a dependable, student-focused Assessment Specialist to join our Assessment & Learning Center team in a part-time role. This position plays an important role in supporting student success through test administration, tutoring support, and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Proctor assessments in-person and through online technology platforms
  • Administer and score placement tests and other assessment instruments
  • Assist students with approved testing accommodations
  • Tutor referred students in foundational academic skills including:
    • Math
    • Reading
    • Study habits
    • Test-taking strategies
  • Provide writing support and essay review assistance
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of testing materials and student records
  • Enter and maintain test scores and student information in the college database
  • Schedule appointments and assist students in person, by phone, and through email
  • Support daily operations of the Assessment & Learning Center
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming testing environment
  • Communicate student progress and concerns with department leadership
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Typing proficiency of 35 WPM or higher
Preferred
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience
  • Postsecondary education in Office Administration or a related field - including a technical certificate, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree - is preferred
