Job Summary

At Sprouts Cooking School, we are committed to providing the highest quality children’s cooking classes that enrich and inspire children and their families. Our ideal candidate is dedicated to helping execute a smooth and fun learning experience for all students. Culinary teachers demonstrate a passion for children and their culinary education. Teachers work to promote confidence in the kitchen, creativity, and a lifetime love of cooking. This position requires the staff member to be self-motivated, organized, and responsive to direction. This position reports to the manager.

Responsibilities:

• Creates a welcoming, comfortable, and exciting environment for all students and parents

• Prepares and organizes ingredients for class

• Maintains a clean and organized work environment

• Executes classroom setup and breakdown

• Ensures class begins and ends on time with all recipes completed

• Leads and maintains the flow of class by following the teaching rubric

• Monitors all students to ensure safety rules and expectations are being executed

• Controls the classroom with superior management skills

• Remains up to date on all product knowledge, recipes, and trainings

• Follows Sprouts standard operating procedures and policies

• Follows directions given by store manager or general manager

• Demonstrates a professional manner at all times

• Exhibits excellent customer satisfaction and interaction

• Additional responsibilities may be assigned by managers

Job Qualifications:

• 1-year previous work experience in a teaching environment preferred

• Culinary interest or training preferred

• Fun, cheerful personality with a loud energetic voice

• Ability to follow directions clearly and efficiently

• Evenings and weekend availability a must

• Must keep a professional appearance with impeccable hygiene

• Possess excellent basic math skills

• Must be able to lift or move up to 50lbs

• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
