PAY SCALE: $26,400 - $27,000/Year, Based on Education and Experience
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Professional Development and Instructional Coaching in Math
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1). Organize and implement high-quality professional development offerings in Math as requested by component districts and others.
2). Coach teachers and support staffin classrooms and other school-based settings in order to ensure implementation of high-quality instruction.
3). Provide instructional support in Math progressions.
4). Communicate effectively with various audiences through in-person and electronic means.
5). Assist with the preparation and planning of short- and long-term professional development plans, using skills such as data analysis, research, and resource management.
6). Continuously refine practices through the study of best practices in professional development, Mathematics (Math Recovery training preferred).
7). Other duties as assigned by Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development or Designee.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Elementary and/or Middle School Math Teaching experience preferred.
Education: Professional New York State Teaching Certification in Childhood Education (1-6), and/or Mathematics (5-9).
