Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure efficient movement of goods within the warehouse. This role is essential in maintaining a smooth workflow in shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
Duties
- Operate forklifts and handle long material (35' in length), to move materials and products throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform heavy lifting and build pallets for shipping or storage as required.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation of all transactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse distribution processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with various types of forklifts
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and distribution processes.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds on a repetitive basis throughout the workday.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow safety guidelines strictly.
