Part-Time Material Handler

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Part-Time Material Handler Job Summary:

We’re looking for a dependable part-time team member to accurately handle inbound, storage, and outbound products for a variety of clients. This role includes checking loads in and out, verifying products against bills of lading and shipping documents, and supporting daily warehouse operations. We offer the flexibility to choose the days and hours you’re available to work, with an agreed-upon schedule that remains consistent each week, making it easier to balance work with school, family, a second job, or other commitments.


  • Between the hours of 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. with flexibility
  • Available days: Monday – Saturday
  • Maximum: 29 hours per week



Part-Time Material Handler Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Move, load, and unload food products, materials, and/or packages by hand, pallet jack, or forklift from trains, railcars, and trailers
  • Handle paperwork and use scanners to ship and receive clients’ food product accurately
  • Pick orders, select products, and control inventory as necessary
  • Transfer data manually and electronically to co-workers and Inventory Control Team
  • Monitor warehouse inventory through cycle counts
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse through various assigned sanitation duties
  • Follow Safety and Food Safety Polices & Procedures.


Part-Time Material Handler Skills/Abilities:

  • Attention to detail and strong mathematical abilities

Part-Time Material Handler Education and Experience:

  • Preferred: One year of warehouse experience
  • Preferred: Forklift experience


Part-Time Material Handler Physical and/or Travel Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting on a forklift in cold and extreme cold conditions
  • Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds at a time
