Job description

Are you ready to become a local cake celebrity? Nothing Bundt Cakes Covington is looking for an outgoing, community-minded Marketing Coordinator to serve as the face of our bakery outside our four walls. This is a relationship-driven, business-to-business marketing role focused on getting our cakes into the hands (and mouths!) of local businesses and community members throughout the Greater Covington area.
The ideal candidate is established in the local community, has a competitive spirit, and thrives on building genuine connections. If you love marketing, sales, and bringing joy to people's day-this role is for you.
Requirements
• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Flexible weekday availability (scheduling primarily falls between 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM)
• Personable with excellent communication skills
• Competitive spirit with a passion for marketing and sales
• Established ties to the Greater Covington community strongly preferred
Scheduling & Hours
Hours are not guaranteed and will fluctuate based on the needs of the business. Scheduling will generally fall one to three weekdays per week and will be communicated and scheduled in advance. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a flexible, part-time role.
What You'll Do
Business-to-Business Marketing:
• Execute the weekly marketing plan by routing and covering the full bakery territory
• Deliver complimentary cake samples to local businesses
• Build and maintain relationships with businesses by understanding their needs: client events, holiday parties, corporate gifting, employee birthday programs, retirement celebrations, and more
• Collect business cards and contact information; capture key details about upcoming events and gifting opportunities.
• Connect with gatekeepers and decision-makers (HR, office managers, admins) to uncover business opportunities
• Educate contacts on the full Nothing Bundt Cakes product line, services, app program, and Birthday Program
• Follow up with email outreach, thank-you notes after large orders, and consistent relationship touchpoints throughout the year
• Log all lead and contact information into our tracking system and maintain accurate records
• Support the team's goal of reaching 10,000 sample impressions per quarter
Reporting & Communication
• Provide daily feedback to the bakery manager and regular updates to the Director of Operations
• Participate in marketing planning sessions with leadership
• As needed, serve as a backup Guest Service Representative or participate in events

• Annual client events and holiday parties
• Business-to-business gifting needs (holiday gifts, thank-you gifts, client appreciation)
• Monthly birthday celebrations, retirement parties, corporate picnics, and other recurring occasions
• Decision-maker and HR contact information for ongoing relationship management
