What is a part time marketing content creator?

A Part Time Marketing Content Creator is a professional who develops and produces engaging written, visual, or multimedia content to promote a company's products or services, but works fewer hours than a full-time employee. Their tasks often include creating blog posts, social media updates, newsletters, videos, and graphics tailored to the company's marketing strategy. They collaborate with marketing teams to ensure content aligns with brand messaging and campaign goals. This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible hours while contributing creatively to a business’s growth.

How do part time marketing content creators typically collaborate with full time team members to ensure consistent branding and messaging?

Part-time marketing content creators often work closely with full-time marketing staff through regular check-ins, shared project management tools, and collaborative content calendars. This ensures that their output aligns with broader campaign goals and maintains brand consistency. They may attend weekly virtual meetings, receive detailed briefs, and use shared style guides to stay aligned with the team. Open communication and feedback loops are essential, helping part-time creators integrate seamlessly into ongoing projects despite their reduced hours.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time marketing content creator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part Time Marketing Content Creator, you need strong writing, editing, and digital marketing skills, often supported by a background in communications or marketing. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, and graphic design or video editing tools is typically required. Creativity, attention to detail, and effective time management help individuals stand out in this flexible role. These skills ensure engaging, high-quality content that supports brand goals and drives audience engagement on diverse platforms.

Job description

Description & Requirements
The National Proposal Team Intern will help organize and improve the content, tools, and processes that support proposal development. This is a 20-hour-per-week role, so the intern will focus on a few priority projects at a time, with work assigned based on team needs, capacity, and learning value.
This is a good opportunity for someone who is curious, detail-oriented, and interested in how strong content and smart use of technology can help teams work better. The intern will gain exposure to tools such as QorusDocs and AI-enabled resources, while supporting practical content organization, cleanup, testing, and documentation efforts under the guidance of the team.
How You Will Contribute:
Help organize, tag, and update selected reusable proposal content in approved content libraries and proposal tools, including QorusDocs.
• Review assigned content groups to flag materials that may be outdated, duplicative, incomplete, hard to find, or ready for follow-up review by the team.
• Support content findability by helping apply consistent naming, tagging, folder structure, and search-friendly descriptions to prioritized materials.
• Assist with pulling useful language, qualifications, service descriptions, and other reusable content from completed proposals leveraging the SCAN process, with guidance from proposal content team members.
• Help test selected QorusDocs workflows, content search results, templates, or AI-enabled tools and capture simple observations about what is clear, confusing, or worth improving.
• Review the current Power BI report and recommend ways to improve QorusDocs reporting and data retrieval.
• Document practical notes, tips, and light training support materials that make content and tools easier for the team to use consistently.
• Participate in relevant team meetings, content reviews, and technology discussions to learn how proposal strategy, content quality, efficiency, and Unmatched Client Experience principles connect.
We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:
Detail-oriented, with an interest in organizing information so others can find and use it easily.
• Comfort with writing, editing, research, and proofreading, including the ability to summarize information clearly and accurately.
• Comfortable learning new technology and looking for practical ways that tools can improve day-to-day work.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
• Interest in AI tools, prompt writing, automation, content management systems, SharePoint, or proposal automation tools is helpful. Prior experience is welcome but not required.
• Willingness to learn and follow established guidelines for brand, quality, confidentiality, risk, legal, and approved content use.
• Curious and willing to ask questions, test ideas, and share observations that could help improve how the team works.
• Reliable work habits, good time management, and the ability to manage assigned tasks within a part-time schedule.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Current enrollment in a college or university program is preferred. Relevant areas of interest may include marketing, communications, English, business, information systems, knowledge management, library science, data management, or a related field.
• Prior internship, campus, volunteer, or project experience involving writing, editing, research, technology, content organization, data cleanup, or process improvement is helpful, but not required.
• No prior proposal experience is required. An interest in professional services, business development, marketing operations, technology, or knowledge management is encouraged.
Learning Opportunities:
Through this internship, the individual will gain practical exposure to proposal development, content strategy, knowledge management, QorusDocs, AI-assisted workstreams, and business development support in a professional services environment. The role is intentionally focused for a 20-Hour Schedule, so the intern can contribute to meaningful projects while also having space to learn, ask questions, and build confidence with the team's content and technology tools.
Supervision:
This role does not have supervisory responsibilities. The intern will receive direction, coaching, and feedback from members of the National Proposal Team and will work under the guidance of the Proposal Content Manager or another designated team leader.
