Job Summary
In anticipation of possible openings throughout the academic year, the Business Education Department invites a pool of qualified persons interested in student-teacher supervising positions. Applications are accepted continuously for part-time, non-tenure-track positions and reviewed as vacancies become available. There may not be an actual vacancy at the time you apply.
This position is to mentor teacher candidates in their student teaching internship. The supervisor is a liaison between ISU and the school district personnel, primarily the cooperating teacher. The supervisor is responsible for observing the student-teacher on-site at least six times during the student teaching semester and providing formal assessments (midterm and final) of the teacher candidate's teaching episodes. In addition, the supervisor will grade weekly assignments and attend monthly Zoom meetings with the student-teachers and the other Business Education supervisors.

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Education or related field.
2. At least five years of classroom teaching experience in a middle school or high school Business Education classroom.
3. State law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position.
