Dynamic Sealing Technologies (DSTI) of Andover, MN is looking to hire a part-time HR Associate. We are seeking a candidate who can commit to a consistent weekly schedule. Up to 20 hours on first shift, but we are open to discussing which specific hours and days best fit your personal needs.

We are seeking an enthusiastic HR Associate to support the administrative needs of our HR department. This is a fast-paced role that offers broad exposure to a range of HR functional areas. Previous experience handling confidential information including salary, medical and performance data is strongly preferred.

About DSTI

We are a publicly owned global manufacturing company that designs and produces high-performance custom fluid sealing solutions for multiple industries including medical, aerospace, oil and gas, food packaging, and alternative energy.

We seek employees who share our desire to be part of something bigger than ourselves.

  • We are open minded: We take an optimistic and "can-do" approach to the opportunities and challenges we face.
  • We are one team: Win or lose, we trust and support each other, find agreement and work together as one.
  • We get results: We love getting things done and execute fearlessly and strategically to create success for our customers, our team and ourselves.
  • We enjoy what we do: We are passionate about creating a better world and believe it's all about enjoying what you do, having fun while doing it and celebrating the wins.
  • We seek progress: We learn from everything we do and move with speed and agility to innovate, evolve and adapt as necessary to maximize impact.

We offer part-time employees paid time off, paid holidays and the option to participate in our 401(k) plan with a company match. We also offer a lot of perks like schedule flexibility and a casual office environment. Other benefits (medical, dental, life, etc.) are not offered in a part-time role.

Typical HR Associate Responsibilities

As an HR Associate, your time will be spent on administrative support tasks that keep the department running smoothly. Although no two days are the same, you can expect tasks in the following areas:

  • HRIS & System Support: Set up and manage cycles in HRIS and Payroll systems. Perform data entry across HR platforms. Maintain accurate employee data. Run standard reports as requested.
  • Administrative Support: Prepare documentation packets. Assist with onboarding paperwork preparation. Maintain organized digital and physical records.
  • Operational Support: Assist with scheduling interviews and meetings. Will be the primary contact for catering orders and onsite hosted event coordination.
  • Task-Based Shift Work: Execute prioritized task list prepared by the Lead HR Generalist. Communicate necessary status updates and flag issues.
  • General Office: Professionally answer incoming calls. Deter unwanted solicitors from reaching our employees while directing legitimate callers to the appropriate resource.

We use a wide variety of systems as well as proprietary internal systems so you must be comfortable learning new technology.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. We will consider candidates who are actively pursuing a degree and have completed some relevant coursework.
  • 0-2 years of previous work experience, preferably in Human Resources or supporting another confidential department.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity of information
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Products including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Proficiency in ERP, HRIS and/or payroll software systems (Epicor, Paylocity, ADP or similar product). Ability to become an expert user of such systems with training.
  • Exceptionally strong organizational abilities, both in physical and electronic workspace.

Flexible Work Schedule

We would like someone who can work a consistent schedule, with some flexibility. This is an up to 20 hours per week role, and we are open to discussing what hours work best, but work must be performed Monday-Friday during first shift. Work is performed from our corporate office in Andover, Minnesota.
