Part-Time Residential Advocate Location: Manatee County Organization: Selah Freedom

Position Summary
As a Residential Advocate, you will provide direct support to survivors of sex trafficking in our safe housing program. This includes assisting with assessments, treatment planning, transportation, and connecting residents to community resources. You will be an essential part of creating a safe, healing, and Christ-centered environment where women can experience hope and transformation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate assessments, treatment planning, and support services for residents, including legal, medical, housing, and mental health needs.
  • Provide safe and reliable transportation for residents to appointments, work, classes, and community activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the client services database.
  • Attend required meetings and trainings, including ongoing education in trauma, substance abuse, and sex trafficking.
  • Support the residential program by fostering an environment that reflects the love and grace of Christ.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Criminology, or related behavioral science field required, experience will be considered in place of education
  • Experience in trauma-informed care, substance abuse treatment, or working with survivors of exploitation preferred.
  • Cross-cultural experience is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including weekends, overnights, and holidays.

Physical & Work Requirements
  • Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Moderate noise level environment.
