Part Time Lisw Jobs (NOW HIRING)

• Location: Ohio, statewide across all six Adult Parole Authority regions (Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Dayton, Toledo, Akron-Canton); in person and virtual via Microsoft TEAMS. Ohio residence or reliable statewide travel required.
• Employment Type: Part-time with benefits (W-2); approximately two days per week. Independent contractor (1099) engagement may be available based on candidate preference.
• Schedule: Equivalent of two days per week during Adult Parole Authority business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Eastern), with participation in a shared 24-hour crisis-contact rotation.
• Agency Environment: Ohio state corrections and community supervision; clinical consultation supporting designated mental-health parole officers serving severely mentally ill adults on supervision.

Position Overview

CLF Consultants LLC seeks experienced, independently licensed Ohio mental-health clinicians (LISW-S or LPCC) to serve as dedicated clinical partners to the Ohio Adult Parole Authority's designated mental-health parole officers. This is consultative, officer-facing work: you give parole officers the clinical guidance they need to supervise individuals living with serious mental illness safely, humanely, and in a way that ends in stability rather than a return to custody.

You are the clinician an officer calls when a supervisee stops taking medication, when a case needs a treatment plan, or when a crisis needs a calm, expert response. You staff cases with officers individually and as a unit, connect individuals to housing, benefits, treatment, and reentry resources, serve on treatment teams, and help the agency advance its mission to reduce recidivism. The work is statewide, hybrid, and grounded in evidence-based practice for justice-involved adults.

The successful candidate is an Ohio-licensed clinician with real criminal-justice or community-supervision mental-health experience, fluent in the realities of supervision, skilled in crisis intervention, and energized by mission-driven work that keeps people stable and out of custody.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with designated mental-health parole officers individually and as a unit, in person and virtually, to staff their mental-health supervision cases and recommend specific interventions and techniques.
• Provide crisis-management guidance and serve in a shared 24-hour contact rotation as a point of contact for unusual circumstances related to a mental-health crisis.
• Support case management for individuals on supervision who are severely mentally ill, including housing, benefits navigation, transportation, parenting and family support, reentry care coordination, employment, and crisis services.
• Serve on treatment teams and program-development teams, coordinate referrals and follow-up services, and build and maintain working relationships with facilities, agencies, and support services statewide.
• Apply evidence-based mental-health practices recognized for justice-involved adults, and help identify training needs for parole officers.
• Document services in compliance with agency policy, data-privacy, and confidentiality requirements; do not record meetings or calls; do not use program data outside the project.
• Contribute to monthly outcome reporting: meetings held, cases discussed, officers assisted, resources identified, and referrals made.
• Maintain Ohio mental-health licensure in good standing and complete required background screening and agency onboarding.

Required Qualifications

• Active, independent Ohio mental-health license: Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision endorsement (LISW-S) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), in good standing.
• Minimum three years of experience working with criminal-justice professionals in a mental-health environment, dealing with difficult and sensitive matters.
• Demonstrated experience with serious mental illness, crisis intervention, and treatment-team coordination.
• Knowledge of community resources, referral networks, and reentry or social-determinant supports (housing, benefits, employment, transportation).
• Strong documentation discipline and the ability to maintain confidentiality in a corrections context.
• Ability to work statewide, in person and virtually via Microsoft TEAMS, during Adult Parole Authority business hours and within a shared 24-hour crisis rotation.
• Ability to successfully pass a background check.

Strongly Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience supporting probation or parole officers or specialized mental-health caseloads.
• Training or certification in crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, or other evidence-based practices for justice-involved populations.
• Familiarity with Ohio community mental-health, OhioMHAS resources, and reentry service networks.
• Experience coordinating care for individuals with co-occurring substance-use and mental-health disorders.
• Experience delivering services across multiple regions or in a hybrid in-person and virtual model.

Compensation and Engagement Details

• Hourly rate range: $47.50 to $57.50 per hour, commensurate with experience.
• Part-time engagement, approximately two days per week, with a stable, predictable weekly schedule.
