Job description

Department: School of Professional Studies
Salary/Grade: NEX/17
Job Summary:
Installs new software and infrastructure upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, monitors system performance and resolves related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
Please note : Position will be 95% remote
Target hiring range for this position will be between $35.00 to $37.50 per hour. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Specific Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning
  • Provides recommendations regarding infrastructure planning and budgeting.
Administration
  • Maintains growth statistics, space forecasts, backup systems, and infrastructure inventories.
  • Performs data backups and recoveries.
  • Monitors and maintains continuity with system licensing and maintenance agreements.
  • Maintains production change control schedule and participates in change control.
Development
  • Performs infrastructure upgrades including planning and scheduling, testing, and coordination.
  • Performs infrastructure administration setup.
  • Coordinates infrastructure planning and management.
Miscellaneous
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in a major such as computer science, information technology, or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
