This opportunity is ideal for someone who is able to be flexible based on the needs of the clients and does not work another job./ppThe Electrical Inspector - Lightning Protection position is responsible for performing field inspections of lightning protection systems of buildings and structures to ensure compliance with applicable standards, issuing reports, and communicating with clients./ppSalary Benefits Information/ppIndividual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons. As this is a part-time position, it is not eligible for additional benefits./ppWhat youll do:/pulliPerform inspections of lightning protection systems on buildings and structures as required by applicable LPI, NFPA and UL standards./liliComplete reports summarizing the inspection work completed onsite./liliMake judgments regarding compliance in terms of applicable standards./liliCommunicate and coordinate with clients while planning visits to work locations./liliPerform other work as required./li/ulpThis position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties./ppMinimum Requirements Qualifications:/pulliHigh school diploma or GED/lili5+ years of experience in the construction or electrical trades, preferably as an Installer, Technician, Electrician, Contractor or Electrical Inspector/liliAbility to read and interpret technical documents and drawings/liliAbility to work independently to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions/liliAbility to adhere to site PPE requirements and work safely on an active construction site/liliKnowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook/liliAbility to be responsive and provide good customer communication and service/liliAbility to work a flexible schedule, with hours ranging from 0 to 40+ per week/liliMust have access to the internet/liliAbility to stand for prolonged periods of time/liliAbility to climb stairs and ladders/liliAbility to travel 75% as needed, including air and overnight travel/liliMust have a valid drivers license and a reliable driving record/liliPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Ability to lift/carry at least 40 pounds.

Ability to climb at least 30 feet.
