Description:ย 

Pony Driver - Interoffice Mail Distributor

The Pony Driver delivers interoffice and outside mail to the district buildings and delivers district mail to the U.S. Post Office

REPORTS TO:ย ย ย  ย ย ย  Assistant Director of Building of Grounds

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Sorts mail and packages by location and distribute accordingly
  2. Picks up and delivers interoffice mail, packages, supplies, and other items to the appropriate buildings within the district.
  3. Makes deliveries of supplies to custodians in buildings as needed.
  4. Performs other deliveries, outside of the district, as requested, i.e. to library, DuPage County, other local school districts, businesses, vendors, etc.
  5. Interfaces with all levels within the district and occasionally with external vendors and suppliers.
  6. Professional attitude with effective communication and customer service skills.
  7. Represent the district courteously and professionally when interacting with staff and community members.
  8. Must have a good driving record.
  9. Requires heavy lifting.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:ย 

  • Carries a valid Illinois Driver's license
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Capable of lifting heavy loads
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:
Hours: Part-time, 8:00 am- 12:00 pm, less than 5 days a week (typically 1-2 days per week)

This position works during the school year calendar

Wages: $18.60/hrย 

Contract/Benefits:ย  All Custodial employees are employed under theDowners Grove Custodial Maintenance (DGCMA) contract.ย  This part-time position is not eligible for medical benefits
