TLC, The Treatment and Learning Centers, is seeking licensed mental health clinicians for part-time opportunities within our interdisciplinary outpatient team in Rockville, Maryland. We welcome social workers and counselors who are passionate about providing high-quality, relationship-based care to neurodiverse individuals and their families.
This position offers the opportunity to provide counseling services across the lifespan while collaborating with psychologists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, educational diagnosticians, educators, and other professionals within one of the region's most established nonprofit organizations.

The Treatment and Learning Centers (TLC) is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1950. It is an interdisciplinary organization. Each year, TLC's programs serve more than 2,000 neurodiverse individuals with a wide range of special needs. We use a holistic and strengths-based approach that considers needs in the home, at work or school, and in the community, working across disciplines to address the needs of the whole person.

Hourly Rate for this position is $30 - $43, depending on experience, licensure, and responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
  • Providing individual, family, and group counseling services
  • Supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families presenting with a variety of emotional, behavioral, developmental, and life-transition concerns
  • Working with neurodiverse individuals, including those with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning differences, and executive functioning challenges
  • Collaborating with psychologists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and educational professionals
  • Participating in interdisciplinary consultation and treatment planning
  • Maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Participating in case conferences and ongoing professional development opportunities

Experience and Skills
Qualifications
Required:
  • Current Maryland license or permit in one of the following disciplines:
  • LCSW-C
  • LCPC or LGPC
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to collaborative, client-centered care

Preferred:
  • Experience working with children and families
  • Experience or interest in working with neurodiverse individuals
  • Experience with play therapy, child-centered approaches, CBT, ACT, DBT-informed interventions, or family therapy
  • Experience facilitating social skills groups or therapeutic groups
  • Interest in collaborating across disciplines and supporting individuals in multiple environments

Schedule Expectations
TLC Hours of Operation:
  • Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM - 7:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Part-time clinicians must be available for at least one evening or Saturday shift per week.
