General Function
Assists with coordination of laboratory activities to support instructional programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assists with laboratory/clinical/ activities.
2. Assists with monitoring students in a lab setting; process basic data entry.
3. Assists in preparation of facility for classes and helps keep work areas are clean and neat; helps
distribute lab materials and handouts.
4. Assists in maintaining laboratory equipment; performs simple maintenance, cleans and stores
equipment when not in use, and notifies supervisor of any needed repairs.
5. Assists with inventory of materials and supplies, initiates ordering process as needed.
6. Assists with maintenance of lab library of materials which may include books, tapes, and magazines.
7. Assists with maintenance of records of laboratory activities and student files including grades and
attendance.
8. Assists students coming in to work or study outside of their class or lab meeting time.
9. Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications
• HS School Diploma or GED or Dual Enrolled in High School & Associate in Engineering Program
• Student in the Associate in Engineering Degree Program from a regionally accredited institution with experience
• Requires basic computer literacy (when appropriate)
• Requires knowledge of standard procedures in the field
Preferred Requirements:
Associate's Degree from an accredited institution in the discipline or related field and experience
