Catering by Andrew, New England’s premier kosher caterer, is seeking a professional, personable, and adaptable Server to join our off-premise catering team. This part-time role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy engaging with guests, and take pride in delivering exceptional service at a wide variety of events.

Position Overview

As part of our Service team, you will play a vital role in providing outstanding service at events ranging from intimate dinners to large-scale celebrations. Working under the direction of the Event Captain and Event Manager, you will ensure service is polished, timely, and guest-focused. Every event is unique, requiring flexibility, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service with a warm, professional demeanor
  • Execute diverse service styles, including:
    • Plated service – serving and clearing courses
    • Buffet service – maintaining presentation and guest flow
    • Interactive stations – assisting chefs and engaging guests
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of dining areas, buffets, and stations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout events
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Answer guest questions regarding menu items and allergens (training provided)
  • Adapt to last-minute changes while supporting team needs

Qualifications

  • Hospitality or catering experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow directions and work well as part of a team
  • Comfortable working in varied settings (indoor/outdoor, formal/casual)
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and demeanor
