What you'll bring to the team

ROLE SUMMARY

In support of the logistic and commercial success of LEGOLAND Florida Resort, the Warehouse Assistant receives, handles, stores, issues, and delivers merchandise for several functions and departments of our resort. This role moves materials and merchandise to storage areas and bin locations, utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment for moving materials. This role is required to drive company vehicles to deliver materials to on and off-site drop-off points. All of these tasks are completed with urgency and accuracy in order to ensure stakeholder and guest needs are met in a timely and accurate manner. 

Qualifications & Experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Warehouse Operation: Loads and unloads vehicles, containers, trailers, and trucks. Moves materials or merchandise to storage areas and bin locations, utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks,and other equipment for moving materials. Drives trucks or other vehicles with or without trailers to deliver materials to onsite and offsitedrop-off points. Performs daily clean-up activities. Performs daily cycle-counts and inventory control and maintains inventory. Locates, assembles, and prepares items for shipment or distribution. Performs merchandise tagging and preparation. Receives and verifies items against receiving documents. Ensures warehouse maintenance, safety, and security at all times. Performs other duties as assigned.

Health & Safety: Maintaining health and safety protocols, handling incidents or accidents, and suggesting safetyimprovements. Work effectively in busy environments with high noise levels. Work effectively under pressure invarious stress-inducing situations. Maintain a high level of focus to ensure safe operation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS Various indoor, outdoor, and enclosed locations with varying temperatures and floor surfaces. Exposed to wet, humid, and/or dusty conditions. May be exposed to food allergens. Intermittent and prolonged sitting, standing, and walking to move about the resort and interactwith guests. Visual acuity sufficient to read written materials, to complete paperwork activities, and toproperly complete safety procedures. Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals in person and via device. Frequent lifting of moderate to heavy loads (25-75lbs). Required to lift and move loads withuneven weight distribution.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Requires six months of general warehouse experience. Experience in a large retail environmentor theme park preferred. Capable of being certified to operate a forklift as well as use of other company vehicles andequipment. Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Basic math and computing skills are preferred. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers andto multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units ofboth standard and metric weight measurements. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to supportpark operations.
