POSITION PROFILE
Process soiled linen and distribute clean linen in accordance with standard operating procedures in a safe, accident-free manner, as assigned by management.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES
  • Receive, sort and weigh soiled linen; place into appropriate containers.
  • Process sorted linen utilizing the washers, dryers, sheet spreaders, ironers, and feeder/folders ensuring finished- product is inspected and meets quality standards.
  • Turn in all articles found in Laundry Chute/Department to the Supervisor to log in Lost and Found.
  • Fulfill guest requests and handle guest problems/complaints as they may arise to achieve guest satisfaction.
  • Report any malfunctioning or damaged equipment, or mechanical problems to the Supervisor.
  • Notify supervisor of supplies needed, damaged linens or hazards to the department to ensure laundry operation is running at maximum efficiency level.
  • Maintain assigned work area in a clean and safe condition.
  • Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Some High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • No formal experience required for the position
  • Ability to recognize and work with numbers.
  • Operate industrial laundry equipment.
  • Communicate information, respond to question, and provide directions and hotel services to guests, vendors, staff member and management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Continuous Standing as needed
  • Lift, pull, push, bend, and move items to support the hotel and outlets
