What We Need:

We're looking for a seasoned majormarket news pro to anchor across top stations and deliver fast, compelling coverage. This parttime role includes a weekend shift-likely Saturdays-and must be performed onsite in our New York City newsroom. You'll handle breaking news, inhouse assignments, and occasional field reporting. This is not an entrylevel role; we need a journalist with proven majormarket experience, sharp editorial instincts, and the confidence to own the story.

What You'll Do:

• Anchor newscasts across multiple markets with clarity, authority, and strong news judgment

• Deliver fast, accurate coverage during breaking news moments

• Write crisp, compelling copy for onair delivery

• Produce, write, and edit content for the 24/7 Newswire

• Publish timely news and video updates across newsroom social platforms

• Gather audio from press conferences, live events, and key news sources

• Create shortform reports (voicers/wraps) for the next shift

• Step in to anchor breaking news coverage when needed

• Support daily newsroom operations and contribute to overall editorial workflow

What You'll Need:

• Flexible schedule; able to work nights, weekends, and holidays

• 5+ years of broadcast news experience

• Strong onair presence with authoritative delivery

• Selfmotivated reporter with strong storyfinding instincts

• Skilled in social media writing and posting (Facebook, X, Instagram)

• Excellent writing, editing, and grammar skills

• Strong timemanagement abilities; able to prioritize and meet deadlines

• Knowledgeable and current on local, regional, and national news

• Able to work independently and thrive in a collaborative team environment

Compensation:

Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data.
