Job description

The School of STEM Department of Natural Sciences at Vermont State University - Castleton Campous invites applications for a Part-Time teaching position in the Natural Sciences for Fall 2026 (August 24 -December 18, 2026).

Current course assignment opportunity:

  • BIO 1121L - Biology I - Lab

  • 3 hours of Laboratory instruction per week (2.01 teaching credits per section).

  • Multiple sections available.

This is the laboratory component of BIO 1121 - Biology 1. Biology 1 is the first part of the comprehensive introductory biology series (BIO 1121and BIO 1122)and emphasizes the molecular, cellular, genetic, and organismal level.

Additional instructional opportunities in the Natural Sciences may become available throughout the academic year as staffing and curricular needs arise.

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree or better in Biology, a related field or equivalent experience in the field. Teaching experience at the college level is preferable. Salary:

Based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.

Budgeted Wage for this Position: $3312.48 (per section).

Faculty Load: 4.01 Workload credits, minimum starting salary is $1648 per workload credit.
