Job description


The Diagnostic Medical Imagining Program in the School of Health Professions at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a part-time Clinical Assistant Professor (12MO). The successful candidate will:
  • Serve as a part-time faculty member providing classroom and lab instruction for assigned courses as part of the CAAHEP curriculum.
  • Assess student learning and skill-set.
  • Provide academic advisement, mentorship of senior projects, student recruitment and college service.
  • Maintain ARDMS credentials and clinical experience.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Proof or current enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree program (with completion expected within 5 years of date of hire).
  • Must hold at least one active registry/certification at the time of hire (e.g., RVT, RDMS, or RDCS).
  • At least 3 years of clinical or related experience.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Computer literacy and strong organizational skills.
  • Or an acceptable equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree.
  • Two or more registry/certifications with additional certification(s) (AB, OB/GYN, RVT, RDCS) obtained within 12 months of the start date.
