Key Responsibilities

  • Perform professional facial treatments (classic, anti-aging, acne, hydrating, clarifying) and customization based on skin type and goals.
  • Conduct advanced services as permitted by state licensure (e.g., chemical peels, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, LED therapy).
  • Deliver pre- and post-treatment consultations; create personalized treatment plans and follow-up care.
  • Maintain impeccable sanitation and safety standards; sterilize equipment and manage treatment rooms.
  • Build strong client relationships; educate clients on skincare routines and product recommendations.
  • Upsell and advocate for professional skincare lines; manage retail inventory and contribute to monthly targets.
  • Document treatment notes, track progress, and collaborate with front desk for scheduling and follow-up.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Valid esthetician license for Virginia.
  • 1+ year of hands-on aesthetician experience preferred (new graduates with strong clinical training welcome).
  • Solid knowledge of skin types, contraindications, and treatment contraindications.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and bedside manner.
  • Ability to perform multiple treatments with precision while maintaining a calm, client-focused approach.
  • Basic math for POS transactions; comfortable with retail sales and achieving targets.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is a plus or willingness to obtain.

Skills & Certifications (Nice-to-Have)

  • Certifications in chemical peels, microneedling (where permitted), dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, and LED therapies.
  • Product knowledge across professional skincare lines and at-home regimens.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) or spa management software.
