Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an Endocrine Lab Tech to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Rockville, Maryland.  

  •  Schedule:  Every other Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM (flex)
  • Compensation: $25 to $32 per hour (commensurate with experience)

How You’ll Contribute

In this role, the Endocrine Lab Tech will:

  • Perform quality controls, calibration and instrument preventive maintenance checks at the required frequency and documents such actions
  • Check and record daily temperature of refrigerators to ensure proper storage of media reagents
  • Monitor supply of reagents and other material to ensure adequate supply at all times and orders supplies when necessary
  • Take appropriate safety precautions for handling specimen and contaminated areas
  • Perform all clerical tasks associated with recording laboratory results in designated areas and filing
  • Provide a turnaround time to the physicians approximate two hour request from the  time specimens are received
  • Be reliable; It is an essential function of this position to report to work on time for your scheduled hours, ready for work

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications and Skills Include:

  • Minimum of one year laboratory experience
  • Experience in a chemistry analyzer strongly preferred
  • Bachelors' degree in biology, chemistry, or science related field; MLT ASCP certification or equivalent
  • Ability to troubleshoot assays and equipment
