Description
BridgeValley Community and Technical College invites applications for adjunct (part-time) positions to serve in the Academic Affairs Division. These individuals will be responsible for the instruction of credit courses and clinicals; and maintaining lab equipment/areas as assigned. These positions will also be responsible for instruction of accelerated courses when applicable.
We are seeking adjuncts to teach sections in the following disciplines: Elementary Education. The standard rate of pay for a three credit hour course is $1,980 per semester.
Examples of Duties
  • Instruct credit courses by identifying learning outcomes/competencies, developing lesson plans, syllabi and curriculum which establish and communicate clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects.
  • Complete required recordkeeping and grade entry for assigned courses
  • Stay in communication with assigned Department Chair and Dean
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum
  • Master's degree or higher in Elementary Education OR a related discipline with at least 18 graduate hours in Elementary Education/teaching discipline.
Preferred
  • Professional Teaching certification and/or three years of elementary teaching experience
  • Aptitude for using technology and innovative methods for instructional delivery
