6-8 Grade Science Teacher (Full-Time, Part-Time, or Adjunct) Position Overview: Boise City Public School District is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join our middle school faculty, teaching students in grades 6 through 8. This position is flexible and may be structured as full-time, part-time, or adjunct based on the candidate's availability and the district's needs. BCPSD is committed to finding the right candidate and is willing to structure the position accordingly. The ideal candidate will have a passion for science education and a commitment to fostering a stimulating and engaging learning environment. The successful candidate will inspire students to explore scientific principles, develop critical thinking skills, and cultivate a love for learning. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with state and national science standards for grades 6-8.
  • Teach a range of science topics, including earth science, life science, physical science, and environmental science.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and active learning.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and instructional technologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Conduct hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and lab activities to enhance student understanding and engagement.
