Job description

Job Overview:

Reporting to the F&B Leadership team, the Bartender is an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine to our guest experience, including the various outlets within the Casino. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests while following Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis guidelines.  The Bartender will provide personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding Food and Beverage offerings to ensure our guests feel unique, welcome, and valued.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Consistently offers professional, friendly, and engaging service.
  • Assists guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way.
  • Follows outlet policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Provides responsible liquor service and communication with servers.
  • Ensures bar cleanliness and presentation.
  • Follows all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
  • Assists Food & Beverage management team with stocking as requested.
  • Assists in transporting food, beverage, and other items to and from the kitchen.
  • Ensures timeliness and accuracy of drinks for other team members.
  • Ensures that all drink orders from servers are accurately rung into the POS.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of F&B experience is required.
  • Proserve and Reel Facts Certification from AGLC.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous.
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
  • Follows all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.

  • Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions.
  • Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods.

  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and treat others with respect regardless of their status or position.
  • A passion for providing excellent service and full alignment with the organization's vision.

Job Requirements:

  • Ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including graveyards, weekends, and holidays. The hours of work will be based on operational needs.
  • Knowledge of AGLC Terms & Conditions and Operating Guidelines.
  • Knowledge and ability to clearly explain operating house rules to guests and employees.
