Job description

Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, with a platform spanning venue development and end-to-end capabilities across venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Founded in 2015, the company serves a collection of seven world-class owned venues and a client roster of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions, spanning four continents. 


The Server is responsible for providing an outstanding level of guest service throughout the premium hospitality restaurant areas at Spruce Meadows. This includes creating a welcoming atmosphere, delivering attentive and knowledgeable food and beverage service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Successful candidates will thrive in fast-paced, event-driven settings and consistently deliver elevated service standards. This role requires ProServe certification and full compliance with AGCO alcohol service regulations, as well as strong communication and multitasking skills. A polished, professional demeanor and guest-first attitude are essential. 

This role pays an hourly rate of $20.00 CAD.

  • Deliver high-quality food and beverage service in restaurants.
  • Ensure tables and service areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked before, during, and after events.
  • Possess working knowledge of the venue, including policies, event layouts, and wayfinding to assist guests as needed.
  • Maintain a full understanding of menu offerings and bar offerings.
  • Collaborate with BOH & FOH teams to coordinate service.
  • Support pre-event setup and post-event breakdown. 
  • Communicate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and accurate order delivery. 
  • Uphold all company standards for professionalism, cleanliness, and guest service. 
  • Adhere to ProServe and AGCO alcohol service standards, including ID verification and safe service practices. 
  • Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by management.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of serving experience in a restaurant, premium hospitality, or event venue setting. 
  • Strong classic cocktail, wine, and beverage knowledge. 
  • Demonstrated experience in premium customer service and guest interaction. 
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. 
  • Professional appearance and positive, team-first attitude. 
  • Must hold a valid ProServe certification. 
  • Ability to work in an indoor/outdoor environment.
  • Available to work an event-driven schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
