Job description

LaCrosse Community Church (LaCrosse, WA) – Lead Pastor

The Big Picture

LaCrosse Community Church offers an undeniable opportunity for a person seeking a position as a part-time (possibly bi-vocational) Lead Pastor in a small and friendly church and community. The church is looking for someone who feels called to minister in a small rural community and has a passion to inspire and motivate God’s people to come to Christ and have a relationship with Him – someone with the heart of God Himself, friendly and approachable, and a skilled messenger of God’s Word. This person will be living in a highly visible rural community and therefore needs to display the proper characteristics of good discipline and personal integrity. They are seeking a “Good Shepherd” to assist the members of the church body.

Requirements

Job Profile

Part time (possibly bi-vocational)

Deliver well-structured, Spirit-inspired, and easily understood messages that are authentic and deeply rooted in the Word

Preach clear, inspiring, and engaging Bible-based messages that can be applied in a congregant’s daily life (ability to create slide presentations to assist in leading the congregation is highly recommended)

Reach out to folks who enjoy the old hymns as well as the more contemporary music lovers

Work beside, lead, motivate, and administer the goals and missions of the church board and body

Identify and employ the Spiritual Gifts in the church body and use them for the benefit of the church’s work

Comfortably engage in casual meetings, greeting, and visiting – both in the church and on the street – with those in the community

Work with other pastors and Christians in the LaCrosse community and surrounding area without regard to their particular denomination

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills; open and approachable by all age groups, able to communicate and integrate with every generation

Strong knowledge of culture, language, and Biblical history is required

An M.Div. is preferred, but the church is open to anyone who is well-qualified to convey the intended message of the Gospels and meet the needs of the church
