Part Time Producer & Digital Content Creator - KPEL-FM & KPEL-AM

Townsquare Media Lafayette is looking for Producers and Digital Content Creators to support our on-air shows and digital platforms across multiple stations and dayparts.

This part-time role is perfect for someone who is creative, organized, digitally savvy, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You'll play a key role in shaping and extending content across web, social, and app platforms.

What You'll Do:

As a Part Time Producer & Digital Content Creator, you'll play a key role in shaping the daily sound and digital presence of KPEL-FM & KPEL-AM You'll engage audiences across on-air, online, social, and in the community by:

  • Support live, engaging on-air shows Monday through Friday, with potential for on-air contributions based on skill set and opportunity
  • Prepare compelling daily show content that entertains, informs, and connects with the target audience
  • Creating and publishing a minimum of two original local articles per day for the station website and mobile app
  • Create, edit, and publish digital content across platforms, including WordPress articles, videos, galleries, and short-form social content (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook)
  • Write, schedule, and actively engage with audiences across social media, station app, and digital platforms
  • Screen calls, manage listener interaction, and enhance audience engagement during on-air segments
  • Coordinate guests, interviews, remote broadcasts, and station events
  • Connect with listeners through interviews, live appearances, remotes, and community events
  • Represent the station at promotions, live broadcasts, and special programming initiatives
  • Produce commercials and support market-wide programming and content needs
  • Identify trending topics and leverage audience insights to generate relevant content ideas
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with on-air talent, programming, promotions, digital, and sales teams to execute integrated content initiatives and campaigns
  • Assist with live events, station activations, and promotions as needed
  • Champion the station brand in the community by building authentic relationships and maintaining a strong local presence
  • Creating and publishing original video content regularly, including social-first short-form video (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) and longer-form segments that grow your personal on-screen brand
  • Prospecting and developing endorsement and influencer partnerships with local businesses, pitching yourself as a trusted community voice who can authentically promote products and services across on-air, video, and social platforms
  • Participating in person in high-visibility community events, client meetings, and business functions as a station ambassador who builds relationships that translate into revenue

  • Willingness to quickly learn and become proficient in NexGen and Adobe Audition
