Per Diem P/T: Hourly Rate: $39.00
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Valid New Jersey State Department of Education Teacher Certification / Math & Science certification preferred
  2. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in area to be taught.

REPORTS TO: Principal/Director and/or Supervisor
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Plan appropriate instructional/learning strategies and activities, including determination of appropriate principles of learning, classroom organizational structures, and kind and level of materials.
  2. Implement an instructional program which provides appropriate learning experiences for each student.
  3. Utilize a variety of instructional materials and available multimedia and computer technology to enhance learning.
  4. Assess student achievement as related to desired educational goals, objectives, and outcomes. Maintain appropriate assessment and evaluation documentation for institutional and individual reporting purposes.
  5. Manage the behavior of students in instructional setting to ensure environment is conducive to the learning process.
  6. Coordinate instructional activities and collaborate with other professional staff, both school and non school based, as required to maximize learning opportunities.
  7. Request assistance of and work with resource personnel, as needed.
  8. Manage allotted learning time to maximize student achievement.
  9. Ensure continuous communication with parents, both written and oral, to keep them informed of students' progress.
  10. Perform all required subject tutoring to home instruction students as prescribed by the student's school. Notify parents, home district, and MOESC supervisor if student is in jeopardy of failing-document notification. Maintain the MOESC timesheet and obtain the parent's/guardian's signature for each day of service.
  11. Commence home instruction within a 24 hour turn-around time from time of assignment.
  12. Participate in in-services and staff development activities and staff meetings as required.
  13. Perform all other duties as assigned.
