SUMMARY
The Web Developer III undertakes a pivotal role in providing advanced technical consultation, strategic planning, and comprehensive administration of the software infrastructure necessary for the implementation and maintenance of the organization's websites. Acts as a key technical advisor. Ensures robust web development processes and optimal website performance.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
  • In-depth knowledge of web development activities, techniques, and tools.
  • Proficiency in HTML, Java, GIF, animation, browser technologies, and GUI design-related applications is essential.
  • Appropriate certification levels as required by contract guidelines.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Builds, deploys, and maintains complex web pages and overall website architecture, ensuring scalability and performance standards are met.
  • Develops and implements strategies to enhance site navigation, improving user experience and accessibility.
  • Offers expert technical consultation to web content developers, ensuring that complex website needs and functionalities are technically viable.
  • Provides ongoing technical site maintenance and troubleshooting, addressing issues related to animation, search engine optimization techniques, link integrity, navigation, browser compatibility, and graphic performance.
  • Helps develop and enforce functionality and navigation testing standards, ensuring rigorous testing protocols are in place to maintain high-quality web delivery.
  • Prepares and maintains comprehensive technical documentation to support the maintenance and updating of web systems and processes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of four to seven (4-7) years' of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
