Axion Spine & Neurosurgery is at the forefront of spinal health, offering state-of-the-art care in Atlanta. Our elite team is committed to excellence in spine care, pioneering innovative treatments that set us apart in the healthcare industry.

We're looking for a hard-working and personable Front Office Coordinator, committed to helping us provide a phenomenal experience for our patients. The person in this role will work in the Outpatient Surgery Center (OSC) in Alpharetta location. This is a part-time position on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7a - 5p.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and visitors by greeting them in a courteous manner.
  • Check patients in.
  • Verify financial records and collect patient charges and copays.
  • Answer questions and respond to patient and their family/friends requests appropriately.
  • Ensure family or friends are comfortable while they wait.
  • Maintain patient charts in E-clinical Works, HST, and Preesia.
  • Prepare procedure and surgery patient charts by data entry.
  • Work with OSC Director to order and track office supplies and equipment.
  • Answer phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
  • Clean and maintain the waiting room.
  • Assist OSC Director with additional tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working as a receptionist or other administrative role; medical office experience a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to maintain professionalism and composure when speaking to patients and visitors.
  • Strong customer service and phone etiquette skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computer programs.
  • Strong typing skills, quick and accurate data entry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
