JOB SUMMARY Sutter County is currently seeking an Information Technology Analyst II to join their team. This position is on-site only and not remote. All interviews will be conducted in person.

Under direction, an IT Analyst II performs a variety of professional level information technology activities which may include end user support, telecommunications, business analysis, database development and support, and enterprise application support; and analyze, design, customize, program, test, install and maintain business applications and information technology systems. CLASS CHARACTERISTICS Incumbents are engaged in professional duties in support of County technological systems which may include hardware, software, databases, network, or business application support. Incumbents are expected to be proficient in one or more of the assignments.

This classification differs from the Information Technology Analyst I in that incumbents assume a higher level of independence, technical complexity, and leadership. IDEAL CANDIDATE The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled applications and systems professional with strong expertise in business analysis, software design, database development, SQL, and object-oriented programming. They will have a proven track record of supporting complex business systems, independently solving technical problems, delivering thoroughly tested, high-quality solutions, and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This is an applications-focused role supporting the County's Workday environment and related enterprise business systems. Candidates with experience primarily in network infrastructure, cybersecurity, desktop support, or hardware support are unlikely to be competitive unless they also have substantial enterprise application development and support experience. Information Technology Analyst II Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or closely related field, from an accredited college or university and two years of increasingly responsible experience in computer applications development and implementation; or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Essential Duties require the following physical skills and work requirements: Requires the ability to maintain mental capacity which allows the capability of exercising sound judgment and rational thinking under varied circumstances; the ability to exert a small amount of physical effort in sedentary to light work involving moving from one area of the office to another; ability to see; ability to hear and communicate orally; requires sufficient hand/eye coordination to perform semi-skilled repetitive movements, such as using a computer, typing, data entry or use of other office equipment or supplies, and requires prolonged visual concentration. Disaster Service Workers: All Sutter County employees are designated as Disaster Service Workers during a proclaimed emergency and may be required to perform certain emergency services at the direction of the department and/or County.

License or Certificate: This classification may require a valid California driver's license.
