Responsibilities
One day a week the Anesthesiologist, M.D.'s role and responsibility is to provide clearances for cataract surgery in our Ambulatory Surgery Center by evaluating patient's vital signs, medical histories, allergies, current medication use and other risk factors
The other day will be preparing patients for anesthesia, performing monitored anesthesia care, overseeing patient recovery, and caring for the patient's immediate post-operative needs.
This is a part-time opportunity, there is no on call and no weekends. The candidate must be able to work 2 days per week, preferably Monday and Thursday.
Requirements
- Florida license required
- Board Certified required
- Available two days per week
- Experience in circulating in and pre-op and recovery of anesthesia patients
- Must have high attention to detail
- Demonstrates great customer service skills
- Must have positive attitude and high energy
- Must be adaptable
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills
- Stay abreast of new developments and technology in the industry
- Must be mobile in an office setting, sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stretching
