What you will do
  • Restock medications in automated dispensing machines at inpatient hospice facilities.
  • Receive and document medication restock packages upon arrival at the facility.
  • Verify medication expiration dates and remove expired products following safety protocols.
  • Complete required sign-offs for all restocked medications before leaving the site.
  • Prepare and ship expired medications back to the pharmacy.
  • Select, count, and verify medications using established procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and compliant dispensing machine and report binder.
  • Assist with general inventory counts and inventory control processes.
  • Partner with pharmacy and hospice teams to resolve restocking or inventory needs.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and patient privacy requirements.
What we look for
  • Experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy or medical terminology, abbreviations, and symbols.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to use web-based tools and basic software systems.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and customer service.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.
  • Experience with automated dispensing machines preferred.
  • Hospice or palliative care experience preferred.
