Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Inventory Professional, you will efficiently and accurately manage supplies and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels.
Every day you will receive, stock, issue, and track inventory, performing counts, reconciling discrepancies, processing orders, and utilizing management systems.
To be successful, you will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in inventory software, crucial for operational efficiency and cost control.

  • Uses an automated inventory control and par leveling system for the ordering, receiving and stocking/restocking of medical supplies/equipment under the scope of the supply chain management function.
      • Restocks supplies daily and rotates inventory supporting accurate inventory levels, generating orders/requisitions as needed

      • Distributes medical supplies and equipment to patient care areas, while monitoring par levels for specific products to assure that appropriate levels are established in order not to affect patient care
  • Identifies opportunities to reduce costs through the manipulation of par levels, reorder points/min/max, reduction of holding costs
      • Identifies excess inventory, returning stock and processing credits

      • Notifies supervisor of outdates or slow moving inventory

      • Participates in the put away and validation process of perpetual inventory items; issues and credits materials from the inventory management system
  • Responsible for maintaining clean and orderly stock locations, and labeling bins and handling requests to change pars
  • Acts as liaison between clinical staff and supply chain management as needed
  • Works with and follows instructions of buyers and Divisional Inventory Coordinator in the event of recalls to pull relevant products
