Job description

Fellows Creek Golf Club, located in Canton, MI, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time Seasonal Bartender! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
 
Role Type:
Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Stock bar, mix and serve alcoholic beverages, assist in cost control, inventory and maintaining inventory records
  • Maintain inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products and communicate with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed
  • Ensure compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management
  • Communicate guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager
  • Perform opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to: inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking
  • Accountable for checks and cash transactions; utilize Point of Sale system
  • Review banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events
  • Serve catered parties from service or portable bars
  • Take food and beverage orders from guests and deliver food promptly after preparation
  • Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
  • Perform other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of bartending experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to meet state age requirements to serve alcohol
Other Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of cocktail recipes and wine varieties
  • Alcohol Awareness Training
  • Open availability required
  • Valid driver's license required (golf cart and beverage cart may be used as part of this position)
  • Regular and reliable attendance
