Country Partners Cooperative is a full-service diversified agricultural cooperative in central Nebraska located in 20 communities, partnering with farmers and ranchers to accomplish more together.

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION - PART-TIME POSITION

This position is responsible for increasing sales of petroleum, c-store and food service products while providing excellent customer service; accurately accounting for sales, cash and inventory; completing all tasks as assigned by the store manager which enhance day-to-day store operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following and others may be assigned)

  • Receive payments for product sold-whether by cash, check, vouchers, credit cards, or automatic
  • Issue receipts to customers for products bought; make necessary refunds, credits, or change to customers.
  • Stays current on all promotions available in the store and actively informs customers of the items offered by using “Plus Selling”.
  • Provide assistance to customers by making available information on products, and their benefits
  • Assist with resolving customer complaints in a timely matter. An attempt should be made to handle concerns while the customer is in the store. Any serious concerns are directed to the store manager.
  • Maintaining interpersonal relationships with the public, especially customers
  • Ascertain the amount of cash in cash drawer at the start and end of every shift
  • Greet customers as they enter the store premises and also as they step out
  • Ensure that the checkout area is clean and in order at all times
  • Stock shelves in the store and include price tags on each item on the shelve
  • Compute every transaction accurately
  • Calculate payments in total received during a specific period of time and compare with total product sales
  • Perform general cleaning; such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting interior of building; Exterior cleaning such as: sweeping around pumps & building, washing pumps, picking up trash
  • Perform maintenance and housekeeping on store equipment and fixtures such as cleaning drains, changing bag on vacuum, changing mop heads, and other duties as directed.
  • Be reliable and dependable
  • Promotes all departments and services of the company
  • Reports any acts of dishonesty to the store manager
  • Other duties as assigned

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
