Applications will be accepted for a part-time Athletic Trainer. The part-time Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing athletic training services to student-athletes, including injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and emergency care. The Athletic Trainer collaborates with coaches, school health personnel, parents, and medical providers to promote the health and safety of student-athletes and support their participation in interscholastic athletics. QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training from an accredited institution.
  2. Current certification as an Athletic Trainer.
  3. Valid New Jersey Athletic Trainer License issued by the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners.
  4. Current BLS, CPR, and AED certifications.
  5. Criminal History Review clearance and all other requirements established by the New Jersey Department of Education.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Provide athletic training services and medical coverage for athletic practices, competitions, tournaments, and other school-sponsored athletic events.
  2. Assess and manage athletic injuries and medical emergencies.
  3. Develop and implement injury prevention and rehabilitation programs for student-athletes.
  4. Monitor and coordinate return-to-play protocols in accordance with medical recommendations and district procedures.
  5. Maintain accurate and confidential records of injuries, treatments, and medical clearances.
  6. Communicate with coaches, parents, physicians, school nurses, and administrators regarding student-athlete health and participation status.
  7. Assist in the implementation of emergency action plans for athletic facilities and events.
  8. Maintain athletic training equipment, supplies, and treatment areas.
  9. Ensure compliance with all applicable district policies, state regulations, and professional standards.
  10. Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Athletic Director, Superintendent, or designee.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to respond to medical emergencies, assist injured athletes, and perform duties associated with athletic training in indoor and outdoor environments.
SALARY: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour, not to exceed 15-20 hours per week
BENEFITS: No medical or dental benefits for part-time staff
